Welcome to the Bryon DeVore Photography blog. This space is a place for me to keep in touch with clients, post new work and to share bits about how I go about things here with the photography business. I generally post a few photos from each session, but after a few years of keeping this blog, I know that counting on me to be consistent or regular in any way is probably not going to work out well for anyone. I love to hear from visitors so please drop me an e-mail and be sure to come visit me on Facebook!

All Time Favorites Part 1.

Well, that was an exciting week for sure. Pulling the trigger to announce the new website to so many people was a bit unnerving to say the least. Thank you all for the fantastic response; your kind e-mails, comments at the Co-op or dropping kids at school... all very much appreciated, humbling and yes, satisfying.

Many people have claimed their wallet prints for spotting their photo on the website; please keep it coming!

So, for the next four weeks I will post a selection of some of my very favorite photographs from the first four years in business (5 each week). Choosing these photos was not an easy thing for me. I found myself drawn to the oldest photos for nostalgic reasons, newer photos for just that, their newness, and others because they represented some kind of milestone or transition in my work. Saying that these are my very favorite 20 photographs would not be accurate. First of all, the top ten would be all of my own children! There are others that I've used in marketing or hung up around town that I still like very much, but I've simply seen too much of... they've had their day. A few of them are even photos that I "refound" after going back into some old sessions. They are 20 photos that I like very much and show a cross section of my work.

At the end of the fourth week, I will ask you all to choose your favorites and the one with the most votes will be printed as a 16x20 canvas and presented to it's family.

So here are the first 5 (click on them to see larger versions). Have a great week! Off to Sunriver/Bachelor for the weekend! Yippee!
